Adani Group is accelerating the layout of the cement market in central India and plans to build two large cement grinding stations in the central state, with a total investment of nearly 290 billion rupees. This expansion strategy is centered on the Guna region, while seeking to land projects of similar scale in Ujjain, aiming to strengthen regional supply chain advantages and seize growth market opportunities. Land approval has been granted for
the Guna Grinding Station project, which will be Adani Cement's flagship facility in the central region of India. The project has an annual production capacity of 6 million tons and an investment scale of about 150 billion rupees, and is expected to create 300 direct jobs and nearly 1200 indirect jobs. From the perspective of strategic positioning, the factory is close to the consumption center, which can not only optimize the logistics cost and distribution efficiency, but also be regarded by the local government as an important lever to leverage the regional economy, which is expected to promote the related industries, infrastructure construction and logistics activity in an all-round way.
At the same time, Adani Cement is promoting a second grinding station of the same scale in Ujjain District, with a design capacity of 6 million tons per year and an estimated investment of 140 billion rupees. Chandramauli Shukla, managing director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation, confirmed that the Ujjain project is still in the stage of site selection consultation, and the group is also evaluating other potential areas such as Bhopal and Rewa. This multi-point selection strategy shows that Adani attaches great importance to investment location and strives to optimize the allocation of resources.
The expansion will significantly strengthen Adani Cement's market position. The Group's Ambuja Cement and ACC brands have operated an integrated cement plant in Kymore, Madhya Pradesh, and the new grinding station will form an effective synergy with the existing capacity and enhance the radiation capacity to the surrounding market. With the gradual implementation of the project, Adani Cement has not only improved the industrial chain layout from clinker production to terminal grinding, but also improved its response speed and cost competitiveness in the highly competitive Indian cement industry through capacity allocation close to the market.
