Uzbekistan's cement industry continued to expand strongly in 2025, with production data reaching a new high in recent years. According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of Portland cement in the first 11 months of this year reached 19 million tons, a substantial increase of 30.1% over the same period last year, far exceeding the same period in previous years. This achievement not only continues the rising channel opened last year, but also highlights the important position of the country's building materials industry as the pillar of the national economy.
Looking at the development track in recent years, Uzbekistan's cement production has come out of a clear recovery and acceleration curve. In 2021, the output was 11 million tons, and after a slight correction to 10.8 million tons in 2022, it rose to 11.1 million tons in 2023. The real turning point came in 2024, when production jumped to 14.6 million tons, laying the foundation for explosive growth in 2025. From a more macro perspective, the country's total cement production has increased by 71.2% in the past two years, and the speed of capacity expansion has synchronized with market demand, forming a virtuous circle. Behind
this series of growth is the superposition of multiple favorable factors. The continuous increase of infrastructure investment, the vigorous development of housing construction and the rapid industrialization process together constitute a strong support for the demand side. At the same time, the systematic expansion of domestic production capacity not only effectively meets the local market demand, but also marks that Uzbekistan has taken a key step on the road of self-sufficiency of building materials and industrial modernization, and has laid a solid material foundation for undertaking larger-scale construction projects in the future.
