According to the Indonesian Cement Association, in the first half of 2026, Indonesia's domestic cement sales were about 30.717 million tons, up 11% year-on-year. Among them, bagged cement sales increased by 10% and bulk cement sales increased by 11%. Sales in June were 5.689 million tons, up 13% year-on-year, the highest monthly level in the first half of the year. However, the chairman of the Indonesian Cement Association pointed out that part of the growth was due to the low base effect in the first half of 2025.
Growth drivers include increased government spending, public facilities renovation projects, regional infrastructure construction, and the initial progress of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (SPPG) facilities and the 3 million housing plan. In addition, post-disaster reconstruction in Sumatra is also an important factor. However, the contribution of the real estate industry and the purchasing power of the public still needs close attention. The Indonesian Cement Association predicts that domestic cement sales will increase by about 1% -2% in 2026.
