2025, Bolivia's cement consumption was 373,900 tons, which was basically the same as 372,700 tons in the same period last year, showing the overall stable trend of market demand. Although the national data remained stable, the domestic regional markets showed significant differentiation, and the performance of different provinces was significantly different. The La Paz region,
Bolivia's largest cement market, saw sales of 104,800 tons in the month, but contracted 5.7% year-on-year, showing a fatigue of growth. In contrast, Santa Cruz, the second largest market, performed slightly better, with a slight increase of 0.4% to 90 thousand and 100 tons. The Cochabamba market saw a 3.6% decline, with demand falling to 71,100 tons. It is worth noting that Chuquisaca became the most eye-catching region in the month, with sales surging 52.8% year-on-year to 38,700 tons, ranking first in the country; Potosi also achieved a strong growth of 23.9%, with demand climbing to 22,400 tons.
In sharp contrast, some markets are facing greater pressure. Sales in Tarija fell by 20.1% year-on-year to 20,100 tons, while the smaller Beni and Pando suffered a heavy blow, with demand falling by 42.8% and 47.3% respectively, with sales of only 3,600 tons and 1,400 tons, and the degree of market shrinkage was worrying.
According to the cumulative data of the first 10 months of 2025, Bolivia's total cement sales volume was 3.284 million tons, down 1.5% from the same period last year, reflecting a slightly weak demand throughout the year. La Paz remains the most robust market in the country, with a cumulative consumption of 924700 tons, up 8% year-on-year. The cumulative sales of Santa Cruz market was 811,100 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%; Cochabamba was the weakest among the major markets, with a cumulative demand of 758,900 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 11.8%. Chuquisaca continued its good momentum, with a cumulative sales growth of 7.7% to 240,100 tons, while Potosi also performed well, with a cumulative growth of 11.1% to 160,700 tons.
On the whole, the cement market in Bolivia shows obvious characteristics of regional differentiation. The growth momentum of the traditional main market is insufficient, while some emerging regions show strong vitality. The sharp decline in small markets has dragged down the overall performance of the country, but thanks to the steady support of core markets such as La Paz and the strong growth of Chuquisaca and Potosi, the overall national market has remained relatively stable. This imbalance of regional development reflects the significant differences in the pace of infrastructure construction and economic development in different regions.
