In order to implement the special law enforcement action for the safety protection of rivers and lakes and consolidate the effectiveness of cracking down on illegal sand mining, on September 7, Mingguang City, Wuhe County, Sihong County and Xuyi County of Jiangsu Province jointly launched a special law enforcement action for the regulation of illegal sand mining in the waters between Jiangsu and Anhui on the main stream of the Huaihe River.
In this enforcement action, Anhui Huaihe River Administration Bureau Sand Mining Law Enforcement Brigade, Wuhe Huaihe River Administration Bureau, Chuzhou Water Conservancy Bureau, Mingguang Water Administration Bureau, Mingguang Water Administration Supervision Brigade, Mingguang Huaihe River Administration Bureau, Wuhe County Sand Mining Office, Shuanggou Town Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau of Sihong County, Jiangsu Province, Xuyi County Agricultural Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade have dispatched 5 law enforcement boats and 7 law enforcement vehicles. More than 40 law enforcement officers conducted joint law enforcement inspections in the waters at the junction of the main stream of the Huaihe River in Mingguang, Wuhe, Sihong and Xuyi provinces of Anhui Province, severely investigated and punished illegal sand mining vessels drifting in the waters at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui, and strictly prevented the rebound of illegal sand mining. Through joint law enforcement, the cooperation mechanism of "joint prevention, joint control and joint treatment" of illegal sand mining has been further consolidated, and the situation of zero tolerance and high-pressure crackdown on illegal sand mining has been continuously demonstrated, which has formed a powerful deterrent to illegal sand mining, created a good atmosphere for joint efforts to combat illegal sand mining, and implemented the safety protection of rivers and lakes through practical actions.
