The Yangtze River Bureau of Anhui Province made an unannounced visit at night to inspect the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River during the mining ban period.

Recently, Liu Dongfeng, director of the Yangtze River Sand Mining Administration of Anhui Province, led relevant departments to conduct an unannounced inspection of the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River. Using the combination of vehicles and boats,

the secret visiting group went to the provincial and local city and county law enforcement bases for many times to inspect the on-duty situation overnight, to test the ability of fast mobile boats, to inspect the sensitive waters of Wuhu, Tongling and Chizhou by boat, to board and check the sand and gravel mining bills of sand carriers, and to continue to do a good job in the management of sand mining during the prohibition period. Guidance requirements are put forward.

Liu Dongfeng requests that, first, we should fully understand the importance and particularity of sand mining management, earnestly fulfill the responsibility of sand mining management, and resolutely maintain the order of sand mining management in the Yangtze River; Secondly, we should consolidate local management responsibilities, implement the system of leadership and 24-hour duty, comprehensively use vehicle patrol, boat patrol, video patrol and other ways to increase the frequency of patrol in key river sections and sensitive waters, and maintain a high-pressure and severe crackdown on illegal mining; Third, we should strengthen the construction of law enforcement teams, improve the professional level of law enforcement personnel, and constantly enhance the ability to identify invisible sand dredgers, so as to discover them in time and dispose of them according to law. Fourth, we should do a good job in safety production management, effectively enhance the safety awareness of law enforcement personnel, improve security facilities, and ensure personal and property safety.
