Reporters learned from the Anhui Provincial Water Resources Department on April 11 that the list of persons responsible for sand mining management in the Yangtze River in Anhui Province in 2023 was published.
According to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Sand Mining in the Yangtze River, the chief executive of the local people's government shall be responsible for the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River. The local people's governments at or above the county level along the Yangtze River shall strengthen the management of sand mining activities in the Yangtze River within their respective administrative areas, and do a good job in the organization, coordination, supervision and inspection of sand mining in the Yangtze River.
In order to strengthen the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River and effectively implement the responsibility system of sand mining management in the Yangtze River, Anhui Province has defined the list of river chiefs at the provincial, municipal and county levels, the chief executive of the people's government, the responsible person of the water administration department, the responsible person of sand mining site supervision and the responsible person of water administration law enforcement, which is hereby announced to the public.
