Conference on Sand Mining Management in Huaihe River in Anhui Province

On March 31, a conference on the management of sand mining in the Huaihe River in Anhui Province was held to summarize and exchange the management of sand mining in the Huaihe River in Anhui Province in recent years, analyze the new situation and tasks faced, and arrange for the deployment of key work in 2023. Relevant responsible comrades of the Huaihe River Water Conservancy Commission attended the meeting for guidance, second-level inspectors of the Department, relevant departments and offices of the Department, the Provincial Huaihe River Administration Bureau, and responsible comrades of the Water Conservancy (Water Affairs) Bureau of 6 cities and 11 counties along the Huaihe River attended the meeting.

The meeting emphasized that cities and counties along the Huaihe River should improve their political standing, fully implement the territorial responsibility of sand mining management, further deepen the cooperation of water conservancy, public security and market supervision departments, form a joint force of supervision, and punish illegal sand mining according to law. We should scientifically study and judge the current situation of river sand, keep a close eye on important nodes and sensitive waters, do a good job of "civil air defense" + "technical defense" patrol duty, and always maintain a high-pressure crackdown on illegal sand mining. We should strengthen the control of the source of sand mining, continue to increase the efforts to dismantle and ban "three nothingness" and invisible sand mining vessels, and maintain dynamic zero clearance. We should strengthen the capacity-building of law enforcement teams, strengthen the education of honest and clean government warning, and build a loyal, clean and responsible sand mining management team.
