On October 10, the signing and commencement ceremony of the project of Inner Mongolia Guangyuan Silicon-based New Materials Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 100,000 tons of granular silicon and 150,000 tons of nano-silicon was successfully held at the site of Guangyuan Silicon-based New Materials Project in Wuda Park, Wuhai Economic Development Zone, Inner Mongolia.
It is reported that the project is the second phase project of Inner Mongolia Xiexin Dongli Silicon Material Technology Development Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 200,000 tons of granular silicon and supporting projects. The first phase project is an annual output of 100,000 tons of granular silicon and 150,000 tons of nano-silicon, which was constructed by Inner Mongolia Xiexin Dongli Silicon Material Technology Development Co., Ltd. and started construction on September 27, 2022.
The second phase is constructed by Inner Mongolia Guangyuan Silicon-based New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 100000 tons of granular silicon and 150000 tons of nano-silicon. According to
public reports, in early May 2022, the Wuhai Municipal Government held a signing ceremony with Xiexin Group and Dongyuan Science and Technology on the construction of granular silicon and supporting downstream industrial integration projects with a total investment of 23.8 billion yuan. According to the information at that time, the total investment of 300000 tons of high-purity nano-silicon powder and 100000 tons of granular silicon production project in the first phase is estimated to be 13.8 billion yuan, and the total investment of 100000 tons of granular silicon production project in the second phase is estimated to be 10 billion yuan. According to the record information on the website
of Wuda District Development and Reform Commission at the end of June 2023, the total investment of Xiexin Dongli 200000 tons of granular silicon project is 18.4 billion yuan, and the technology of Fbr granular silicon with independent intellectual property rights is adopted as a whole to build a new project with an annual output of 200000 tons of granular silicon, 300000 tons of nano-silicon and supporting projects. In addition, the project with annual output of 10g W monocrystalline battery modules is invested and constructed by Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Science and Technology Co., Ltd., forming a photovoltaic industry chain project.
Inner Mongolia GCL Dongli Silicon Material Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Jiangsu Zhongneng Silicon Technology Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GCL, and Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Technology Group Co., Ltd. on December 5 , 2008. Inner Mongolia Guangyuan Silicon-based New Materials Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. and was established on June 1, 2023.
