On December 27, Xiexin Optoelectronics held the foundation-laying ceremony of the world's first GW large-size (2.4m X 1.2m) perovskite production base in Kunshan High-tech Zone, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, marking that Xiexin perovskite has officially entered a new era of gigawatt commercial operation.
On December 18, the Kunshan Municipal People's Government signed a strategic cooperation contract with Xiexin Group. The agreement clearly States that Kunshan Xiexin Photoelectric Materials Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Xiexin Photoelectric"), a subsidiary of Xiexin Group, will build a 2GW perovskite production line in Kunshan, which will be completed in two phases.
Previously, in 2021, Xiexin Optoelectronics built the world's first 100-megawatt perovskite pilot line, taking the lead in the industry to leap the size of perovskite components from square centimeters to square meters. It has become the only perovskite photovoltaic technology company in the world with 1.2 m X 2.4 m commercial size for product development.
It is reported that on November 24, Xiexin Optoelectronics announced that the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the 1 m X 2 m perovskite single junction module launched by the company has reached 18.04%, which was certified by the Chinese Academy of Metrology and issued a formal test report. This figure broke the world record again, marking the success of Xiexin Optoelectronics in crossing the 18% conversion efficiency threshold.
At present, the company has received many rounds of financing from Kaihui Fund, Kungaoxin, Ningde Times, Tencent, IDG Capital, Sequoia China, Temasek and other investment institutions.
