On December 20, Yunnan Green Energy New Energy Development Co., Ltd., established by Yunnan Energy Investment Group and Yunnan Energy Investment Group, officially started the construction of a million-kilowatt photovoltaic base in Xishuangbanna in Menghai County. in Xishuangbanna is the second new energy base construction in the province implemented by the Group after the million-kilowatt new energy base project in Dayao County, Chuxiong Prefecture. The planned installed capacity of the base is 2 million kilowatts, with a total investment of nearly 10 billion yuan, of which six projects with a total capacity of 650,000 kilowatts will be started in the year, one project will be put into operation, and 750,000 kilowatts will be started in 2024. After the base is completed and put into operation, it can provide more than 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity for the whole province every year, save about 900000 tons of standard coal and reduce about 2.25 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The Nanbeibang 200,000 kilowatt photovoltaic project will be developed in the mode of "complementary tea and light". Through dual-use, sunshine sharing and ecological construction, the agricultural energy compound production system with deep integration of ecological tea and energy industry will be constructed, which will play a positive demonstration role in the development of new energy industry in the province.
