The 16GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon battery project of Tongwei Solar Energy (Battery) Meishan Base Phase IV was officially launched and is expected to be completed and put into operation in the first half of next year. At that time, Meishan Battery Base will become the largest production base of crystalline silicon batteries in the world. The total production capacity of Tongwei solar cells has also exceeded 90GW this year, with shipments exceeding 160GW , ranking first in the world.

. On September 22, the official website of Xinjiang Eco-environmental Protection Industry Association announced the announcement. Public participation in environmental impact assessment of Xinjiang Jinghui New Materials Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 2 × 100000 tons of high-purity polysilicon (Phase I 100000 tons of high-purity polysilicon) is proposed to be submitted for approval.
The announcement shows that in April 2023, Xinjiang Jinghui New Materials Co., Ltd. entrusted Xinjiang Shengyuan Xianghe Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. to undertake the environmental impact assessment of "Xinjiang Jinghui New Materials Co., Ltd.'s Annual output of 2 * 100000 tons of high-purity polysilicon project (Phase I 100000 tons/year high-purity polysilicon)".
At present, the EIA report and public participation statement of the project have been compiled and submitted to the Bureau of Ecological Environment of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture for approval and publicity.
The announcement shows that the project is planned to invest 643689 million yuan , located in Layisu Petrochemical Zone, Luntai Industrial Park, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, covering an area of 737,015.4
The project is constructed by stages. This project is the first phase of the project, with a construction scale of 100,000 t/a high-purity polysilicon production plant and supporting utilities, auxiliary facilities, etc. The polysilicon production of this project adopts the production process of granular polysilicon by silane method. After the completion of the project, the annual output of high-purity crystalline silicon (granular silicon) will be 100,000 tons. According to
