More than ten years ago, Chibi City was rich in limestone resources. However, due to backward technology, local cement plants could only rely on traditional vertical kilns to produce cement, which caused great pollution and belonged to small cement plants that would be eliminated by the industry.
In order to fundamentally reverse this situation, Huaxin Cement (Chibi) Co., Ltd. came into being in 2007, starting with a high-standard construction of a new dry cement production line with a daily output of 4000 tons of cement clinker, and successively supporting the construction of 7.5MW cement kiln pure low-temperature waste heat power generation project. The environmental protection project of co-processing 500 tons of municipal solid waste in cement kilns and the production line with an annual output of 3 million tons of aggregate and 1 million cubic meters of concrete.
It is understood that at the beginning of the establishment of the factory, the waste heat and waste gas resources at the kiln head and kiln tail of the clinker cement production line with a daily output of 4000 tons were directly discharged into the atmosphere after dust removal, in addition to being used as a heat source for drying raw materials. Although the dust gas emission meets the national dust gas emission standards, a large number of waste heat resources can not be fully utilized, resulting in a waste of resources.
To this end, in 2009, the company set up a project to equip the production line with 7.5MW pure low-temperature waste heat generating units, making full use of the waste heat resources discharged from the kiln head and tail for power generation. After the implementation of the project, 46 dust collection points (sets) are set up in the production line, equipped with domestic advanced, reliable and efficient bag dust collectors, and then equipped with SNCR denitrification facilities, and online monitoring devices for pollution sources are installed at the kiln head and kiln tail, and networked with the environmental protection system for real-time monitoring.
Nowadays, the completion and long-term stable operation of the project not only avoids the emission of new dust gas, but also greatly improves the comprehensive utilization efficiency of resources and reduces the production cost of the company.

2013, in order to solve the problems of "besieged city" and "besieged village" of municipal solid waste, the company strived to be a "pioneer of environmental protection" and invested more than 530 million yuan to build a leading domestic cement kiln co-disposal project of municipal solid waste. The project solves the problems of dioxin and furan pollution that can not be eradicated by other waste disposal technologies by using high temperature calcination technology in cement kiln, and can realize harmless, reduction and resource disposal of 500 tons of urban and rural domestic waste per day. According to statistics, in 2021 alone, the company disposed of more than 120000 tons of domestic waste harmlessly, which not only reduced pollution, but also greatly improved energy efficiency and resource recycling.
While using cement kilns to co-dispose of municipal waste at high temperature, the company invests special funds every year to protect the green mountains and rivers in southern Hubei, actively build garden factories, and hand over "beautiful environmental protection answers" to the surrounding residents. Drainage canals have been dug and built many times, and more than 600 trees have been planted successively to beautify the mine environment and stabilize the geological state of the slope.
