On July 27, Datang E-commerce Platform issued a tender announcement for EPC general contracting of Laos Namo 500MW photovoltaic project (Haitou Company), and the tenderer was China Datang Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd.
The content shows that Laos Namo 500MW Photovoltaic Project is located in Namo County, Oudomxai Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, with a planned construction capacity of 500MW . The photovoltaic booster station is designed according to 500 kV voltage level, and the main transformer in this phase is 1X500MVA; The outdoor AIS scheme is adopted, and a new 500 kV outgoing line is connected to the 500 kV side of 500 kV Nanometer Mill 3 Substation (including the access bay of Nanometer Mill 3 Substation on the opposite side).
The construction period is tentatively scheduled from September 30, 2026 to September 30 , 2027. The scope of this
tender is the EPC general contracting project of the above project, but not limited to the preliminary design, construction drawing design and as-built drawing preparation of the photovoltaic power generation area, 500kV booster station, 500kV outgoing line and the new bay project connected to the opposite substation. Procurement, supply to the site and storage of all equipment and materials of the project, supervision of equipment and materials, test, inspection, transportation and management of equipment and materials, installation, construction, commissioning and trial operation of all buildings. Communication connection, equipment and system commissioning, grid connection formalities handling, power grid acceptance, grid-connected power generation and handover to production, assisting the operation and maintenance unit to carry out training and operation guidance for production, operation and maintenance personnel, file handover, completion acceptance, performance quality assurance and defect elimination warranty services within the defect liability period.
It is worth noting that all equipment and materials of the project are purchased by the bidder. Among them, photovoltaic modules , inverters and main transformers adopt "A-B signature".
In this tender, Bidders are required to have completed or completed EPC general contracting performance of two or more 200 MW (or MWp) and above (plain desert or mountain) photovoltaic power stations in the past five years . Consortium bidding is accepted
in this tender . However, the consortium allows a maximum of three units to form a joint venture. The deadline for submission of
bidding documents is 9:00 on September 1, 2026.
