Recently, at the annual meeting of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), ASCE awarded the National Award for Important Historic Civil Engineering Contributions to Dragon & nbsp Cement and its quarries from Maine.

DPCA was awarded this honor because its Thomaston Cement Plant (750,000 tons of cement per year) has been the only continuous cement producer in New England since 1928. In 2004, the plant was modernised at a cost of US $50 million, the only major inspection since former director Martin & nbsp; Marietta rebuilt the plant in 1971.

& nbsp; For many years, the cement produced by Thomaston & nbsp; has been used in major projects in New England and has a good reputation. (Please indicate the source for reprinting by China Cement Net)
