US: Eagle Materials acquires a stake in Houston Cement

< DIV > Eagle Materials, a major manufacturer and distributor of building materials in the United States, said that Texas Lehigh, which is 50% owned by the company, had recently acquired some shares of Houston Cement.
< DIV > There are two Portland cement import stations in the Houston area, located along the Houston Harbor Waterway, near the city of Texas. It is estimated that the annual production capacity of Houston Cement reaches 3 million tons.
< DIV > Based on its investment in Houston Cement, Texas Lehigh purchased a minority stake in Houston Cement, while the rest of Houston Cement was owned by Ash Grove Texas and Alamo Cement. The proceeds from the sale of Houston Cement will be distributed among the companies in proportion to their respective shares.
In Texas Lehigh, Eagle owns 50%, while Lehigh Cement, owned by HeidelbergCement in Aaron, Pennsylvania, owns the other 50%.
