Cement is a vital raw material, although the color, grade variety, performance slightly different, but its common fault is poor seismic resistance, easy to crack fracture, usually increase the amount of steel to make up for the defect. Recently, the United States has developed a new type of cement to overcome the above drawbacks, which has attracted wide attention.

This new type of cement is characterized by strong shock resistance, good flexibility, durability, not easy to crack, no pits in pavement construction, and has a wide range of applications. The cement made its debut during road construction in Ipsinti, Michigan, USA. It may also be used in combination by conventional methods.

In this cement formulation, the usual gravel filler is replaced by polyvinyl alcohol fibers and super corundum (100 microns in diameter). As a result, the cement is three times more ductile and 500 times more flexible. It prolongs the life of the building, reduces a lot of maintenance costs, and relatively reduces the high cost. Because the amount of steel is also reduced, architects can design more innovative and multi-style shapes at will. < BR >

Cement consumption in the United States is expected to rise by 11% in 2016. PCA also expects cement consumption in the United States to reach 119 million tons by 2018.

Due to the recovery and expansion of the economy, the industrial infrastructure of the United States has been strengthened, which has led to an increase in domestic product shipments in the United States, but also stimulated product consumption. The Portland Cement Association of America believes that by 2008, the volume of cement in the United States will exceed 117 million tons.
