Parallel to the existing Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, the total length of the line is 30.072 kilometers, with two tunnels of 25.241 kilometers and three bridges of 0.372 kilometers. The reconstruction project of the existing Guangzhou-Shenzhen Line includes the reconstruction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Line II from Guangzhou East to Shipai with a length of 4.69 kilometers and the reconstruction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Line W with a length of 4. There are two stations in Guangzhou East and Xintang.
