It is reported that recently, the Natural Resources Bureau of Ningde City, Fujian Province, has completed the announcement of the demonstration report on the use of the sea area of the offshore wind farm project in Ningde Deepwater Area A. The investment of the project is 10.46 billion yuan, and the development, construction and operation party is Fujian Runshi Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Fujian Runshi").
It is noteworthy that Fujian Runshi is a subsidiary of Times Green Energy Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ningde Times, which was established in April this year with a registered capital of 2.5 billion yuan.

public information, Ningde Deepwater Area Wind Farm Project is located in the eastern sea area of Xiapu, Ningde. The site center of the wind power project is about 51 kilometers offshore, with a planned area of 94 square kilometers. It is planned to install 59 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 13.6 MW, with a total installed capacity of 802,400 kW.
It is reported that the entry of Ningde Times into the wind power field is forced by the situation.
It is understood that Ningde Times has previously disclosed its offshore wind power development indicators, "the development of green energy is to ensure its own green power supply."
According to the provisions of the New Battery Act of the European Union, from July 2024, power batteries and industrial batteries must declare the carbon footprint of their products and meet the relevant carbon footprint limits in July 2027. For this reason, power battery and industrial chain enterprises have begun to intensively find a way out for battery decarbonization and carbon reduction in the past two years.
Among them, the most effective strategy to reduce carbon is to use green electricity at the manufacturing end, especially at the upstream material production end of batteries.
In order to meet the requirements of battery carbon footprint regulations, Ningde Times announced in April this year that it would achieve carbon neutrality in core operations by 2025 and carbon neutrality in value chain by 2035. This means that by 2025, all battery factories in Ningde era will become zero-carbon factories, taking the lead in achieving carbon neutrality in the field of production and manufacturing.
In terms of the use of green electricity, in 2022, the use of green electricity in the Ningde era accounted for 26.6%.
In the future, with the completion and operation of the offshore wind farm project in Ningde Deepwater Area a, the proportion of green electricity used in Ningde Base will be significantly increased.
In addition to the Ningde era, in recent years, many battery companies have sought coping strategies in battery carbon reduction.
