On October 17, the first phase of Shuangwendan Component Factory of Longji Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Longji Green Energy") was officially put into operation. Located in Shuangwendan, Selangor, on the west coast of Malaysia, the project is part of Longji Green Energy's solar energy production and manufacturing base in Malaysia. The official commissioning of Longji Green Energy Shuangwendan Component Factory marks the realization of the closed-loop photovoltaic industry chain in Malaysia, and is also an important milestone in the international layout of Longji Green Energy.
It is reported that this 140-acre component factory project is the first manufacturing base of Longji Green Energy in West Malaysia, which adopts the leading technology, technology and equipment in the photovoltaic industry and is constructed in two phases. After completion, the production capacity of modules can reach 8.8G W (2.8G W in the first phase and 6G W in the second phase). With the successful commissioning of the first phase of the project, the second phase of the project started immediately. Up to now, the first phase project of Shuangwendan Component Factory has created about 900 jobs for the local people, and it is expected that more than 2000 jobs will be created in the future.
Longji Green Energy began to lay out overseas markets in 2015, and set foot in Malaysia in 2016, successively laying out photovoltaic silicon rods, silicon wafers, cells and components manufacturing in Kuching and Mindulu, Sarawak. Among them, Longji Green Energy has laid out its first overseas base in Kuching, which is also the world's first vertically integrated monocrystalline silicon solar manufacturing base, mainly producing monocrystalline solar silicon rods, wafers and batteries.
In the process of globalization, Longji Green Energy also pays special attention to the development of localization. From the production layout of monocrystalline silicon wafers in 2016 to the closed-loop industrial chain of monocrystalline silicon wafers, batteries and components in 2023, the number of Malaysian employees of Longji Green Energy has increased from 570 at the beginning to more than 8000, of which 99.9% are Malaysians.
