On July 9, according to foreign media reports, the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE), Italy's state-owned energy agency, said that Italy's first solar auction under the FER X transitional incentive plan had received 1387 project proposals. The total installed capacity is 17,537 MW .
It is understood that FER X is an energy plan in Italy. On December 17, 2024, the European Commission approved the Italian FER X Decree, which defines the competitive bidding procedure and the long-term contract for difference (CFD) mechanism in the Italian energy market.
Italian authorities are expected to allocate more than 600 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity through auctions. Developers of pre-qualified projects in this tender must submit their final offers by September 12.
It is reported that in the last tender (the 16th auction) of the FER X program, GSE awarded 278.5MW of solar capacity at 53 locations, with the size of photovoltaic projects ranging from 1.7 MW to 40 MW. In
the 16th auction, the maximum discount range of bids submitted by developers is 2.01%-7.91%, and the upper limit price of the auction is 0. 078175 Euro (equivalent to about 0.654 yuan/kWh) . Among them, the lowest bid price is 0. 07199 Euro/kWh (equivalent to about 0.6028 yuan/kWh) , which is given by the 2.7 MW solar power plant located in Ancona Province, central Italy.
