2025, Uzbekistan's cement industry has shown strong growth momentum in both domestic and foreign markets, and has become an important engine for the development of the country's building materials industry. Official data show that the export trade of cement has shown explosive growth, while domestic production has also maintained a steady increase, the overall performance is very bright.
Cement export is the most prominent bright spot this year. From January to September 2025, Uzbekistan's total cement export volume was close to 1.1 million tons, with a total export value of 44.4 million US dollars, an increase of nearly four times over the same period last year, showing a significant improvement in the country's cement production capacity and international market competitiveness. At present, Uzbekistan cement has successfully entered the markets of four neighboring countries, of which Kyrgyzstan is the largest buyer, with a purchase volume of 488,700 tons in the first nine months, accounting for the first place in the export share. It was followed by Kazakhstan with 316,800 tons, Afghanistan with 272,700 tons, and Tajikistan with 267 tons. These countries constitute the core market for Uzbekistan's cement exports, laying the foundation for its export diversification strategy. In terms of
domestic production, the cement manufacturing industry also performed well. According to the data of Uzbekistan Building Material Manufacturing Enterprise Association, in the first ten months of 2025, the national cement output reached 18.8 million tons, which provided a solid capacity support for export growth. During the same period, the total output value of the whole building materials industry reached 45.7 trillion sum, an increase of 13.5% over the same period last year, and cement, as an important part of it, contributed significantly.
In order to further expand the international market share of cement and other building materials products, Uzbekistan has set up trade institutions, exhibition halls and storage facilities in several strategic locations. Include Baku in Azerbaijan, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, Lahore in Pakistan, Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan, Aktau in Kazakhstan and Jalalabad in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, Ukraine also actively organizes enterprises to participate in international exhibitions such as Tashkent Central Asia Innovation Exhibition, Kazan Forum and Los Angeles Architecture Exposition, so as to continuously enhance the international visibility of cement products and create favorable conditions for the continuous expansion of overseas markets.
