Recently, the signing ceremony of Mingyang Group's heterojunction cell and photovoltaic module project was held. The People's Government of Maanshan City, Anhui Province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mingyang Group and signed a project investment agreement. It is understood that Mingyang Group plans to invest 10 billion yuan in the production of 10GW heterojunction cells and 10GW photovoltaic modules.
It is reported that in May 2021, Mingyang Group officially announced the start of cross-border pursuit. It is planned to invest 3 billion yuan to build a project with annual output of 5G W photovoltaic high-efficiency batteries and 5G W photovoltaic high-efficiency modules. At the end of 2021, the first phase of the project was officially started. In January this year, Mingyang 5G W High Efficiency Heterojunction Photovoltaic Cell Phase I Project and 2G W High Efficiency Heterojunction Module Project realized "double offline and double production" in Yancheng and Shaoguan respectively.
Subsequently, Mingyang Group accelerated the pace of development in the photovoltaic field. On September 28 of
the same year, Mingyang Group signed a 5G W heterojunction photovoltaic cell project with Yancheng Jingkai District, Jiangsu Province, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan . The project has been put into operation in January 2023. The 2G W high-efficiency heterojunction module project in Shaoguan, Guangdong, was also put into operation in the same month.
In addition, on January 1, 2023, Mingyang Group signed a new energy high-end equipment manufacturing project with the People's Government of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. Mingyang Group will invest in the construction of ten high-end equipment manufacturing projects in Zhongshan, including the third generation of global heterojunction solar power generation equipment intelligent production line, the first phase of intelligent electrical and hydrogen energy industrial park, and the first phase of double-carbon economic industrial park, with a total investment of 15 billion yuan .
