Jinyang New Energy announced on September 7 that the company successfully built the first production line of a new generation of heterojunction back contact (HBC) batteries this month. The new generation of HBC battery production line will become the world's first mass-produced HBC battery production line (Fujian Jinshi Energy Co., Ltd., a strategic partner of the Group, and the National Advanced Photovoltaic Engineering Research Center jointly built by the Group officially announced that the conversion efficiency will reach 27.42%) and will become the world's only first mass-produced HBC battery production line with a conversion efficiency of more than 27.0%. It will lead the heterojunction technology into the mass production of back contact batteries ( "BC batteries").
The first-generation heterojunction solar cell has developed rapidly in the past two years. The directors of Jinyang New Energy believe that the mass production of the new generation technology of HBC cell indicates that the Group will lead the glory of the new generation of BC cell era with higher conversion efficiency and lower cost.
At the same time, the Group also completed the construction of the world's first mass production line of HBC flexible modules in the middle of this year, which means that the vertically integrated photovoltaic industry strategy of linking monocrystalline ingot silicon wafers, HBC batteries and flexible modules with high efficiency and low cost has been realized.
At present, the company is establishing the main sales channels in Europe and the United States and the online private brand sales system to meet the growing demand of the consumer product market. It is expected that after the successful mass production of the first HBC battery production line, the Group will quickly add new factories and expand production to 5GW, which the Directors believe will lead the Group to become a leading company in HBC battery technology and scale.
