2023, Chuxiong Prefecture of Yunnan Province successfully signed four projects in the 2023 China Industrial Transfer Development Docking Activity (Yunnan) Green Silicon Industry Docking Activity, with a total planned investment of 5.53 billion yuan .
Since the first green silicon PV project was completed and put into operation in the prefecture in January 2018, the green silicon PV industry has developed strongly. At present, the production capacity built and under construction in the prefecture has reached 30GW monocrystalline silicon rods, 80GW monocrystalline silicon slices and 10GW monocrystalline silicon cells, as well as the production capacity of monocrystalline silicon rods, slices and cells. In 2022, the output value of Chuxiong's green silicon industry reached 40.71 billion yuan. From January to June this year, the green silicon industry achieved an output value of 18.909 billion yuan , an increase of 11.86% over the same period last year. Green silicon photovoltaic industry has become a pillar industry to promote the leapfrog development of the state's economy with high quality. To develop green silicon industry, Chuxiong Prefecture has the advantages of green power resources and electricity price, development space, industrial agglomeration and service guarantee. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Chuxiong Prefecture will vigorously implement the three-year action of integrating green energy and green manufacturing, relying on the advantages of green energy resources, vigorously develop resource economy and park economy, and accelerate the building of "Silicon Valley in Central Yunnan".
