The project was approved by the Economic and Technological Development Zone Branch of Huai'an Ecological Environment Bureau of Jiangsu Province on August 18, 2023.
It is understood that Trina Solar Huai'an Base covers an area of about 1808 mu , including high-efficiency batteries and high-power components, a new generation of high-efficiency photovoltaic cell production and other projects. The high-efficiency battery and high-power module project covers an area of about 1,345 mu and is implemented in two phases. The first phase of 5GW battery + 10GW module project covers an area of 515 mu, with a construction area of about 230,000 square meters. The second phase of 10GW battery + 10GW module project covers an area of 830 mu, with a construction area of about 320,000 square meters. The newly contracted new generation of high-efficiency photovoltaic cell production project covers an area of 463 mu. After the base is completed and put into operation, the annual output value will be about 52 billion yuan.
Among them, the first phase of the project was put into operation in April this year, and the second phase of the project was officially put into operation in October. The third phase of the project started
recently is an expansion project, located in the industrial concentration area of Nanmachang Township, Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of about 361.7 mu, which is not in the same plot as the first and second phases of the project, and the independent construction of the third phase of the project does not rely on the existing projects. This project purchases silicon wafers for cell production, excluding silicon wafer production and cell assembly processes. According to the
data, Trina Solar is the world's largest supplier of photovoltaic modules and a leading provider of overall solar photovoltaic solutions. It was founded in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province in 1997 and is one of the earliest Chinese solar companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Previously, in September 2022, Trina Solar established Trina Solar (Huai'an) Photoelectric Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 6 billion yuan to build a "15g W high-efficiency solar cell project per year" in Nanmachang Township Industrial Concentration Zone of Huai'an Economic and Tec hnological Development Zone, which started construction in May this year.
According to the third quarter report of Trina Solar, Trina Solar realized business income of 81.119 billion yuan in the first three quarters, an increase of 39.38% over the same period last year; Net profit attributable to parent company was RMB5.077 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 111.34%; net profit attributable to parent company after deduction of non-profits was RMB5.120 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 128.49%; basic earnings per share was RMB2.34 per share, representing a year-on-year increase of 107.08%.
According to the statistics of third-party photovoltaic consulting agencies, Trina Solar's module shipments in the first three quarters of this year exceeded 45-46 GW, up 68% year-on-year, ranking second in global module shipments.
