According to foreign media reports, on August 10, Singapore's renewable energy company Levanta Renewables has launched the construction of 166 MW photovoltaic power plant project in the Philippines. At the same time, the project will also build an 80 MWh battery energy storage system .

It is understood that the project will be developed by Levanta Renewables subsidiary Magallanes Solar Energy Corporation. Among them, China Energy Construction Group is the general contractor of this construction, responsible for the overall design, procurement and construction of photovoltaic power plants and energy storage systems.
The company expects the project to begin commercial operations in the second quarter of 2027.
