On September 25, Changxing County's first "oil to electricity" new energy distribution dual-purpose ship "Green Boat 006" made its maiden voyage, officially launching the "Changxing South-Deqing South" cement clinker transport route. This marks that Changxing County has taken a substantial step in building a green corridor for inland river shipping.
"Green Boat 006" is transformed from a 10-year-old 36TEU multi-purpose ship "oil to electricity", equipped with 1306 kWh power battery system, which can carry up to 32 containers or 1150 tons of bulk cargo, with a maximum range of 140 kilometers, with three advantages. The first is to reduce the cost of waterway transportation. Its first voyage is loaded with 1020 tons of cement clinker for 90 kilometers. The predicted energy consumption is 9.33 kilowatt-hours per kilometer. According to the electricity price of 0.7 yuan per kilowatt-hour, the single energy cost is 560 yuan. Under the same carrying capacity and voyage conditions, compared with diesel ships, it saves 700 yuan of fuel cost. According to the enterprise's calculation, the economic benefit is increased by more than 55%. Long-term operation will greatly reduce the life cycle cost of the ship, which fully verifies the commercial feasibility and competitive advantage of the electric ship. The second is to reduce carbon emissions, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 0.57 tons, nitrogen oxides by 10 kilograms, sulfur oxides by 1.5 kilograms and particulate matter by 0.8 kilograms per 90 kilometers. The third is to play a demonstration effect, electric ships effectively avoid a variety of air pollutants caused by traditional diesel ships, which has a positive practical significance for improving regional air quality, protecting the ecological environment of the basin, and serving the national "double carbon" strategic objectives.
Changxing Traffic has planned to build a ship charging facility in Lvshan Water Service Area, which consists of two sets of high-performance charging devices with a maximum output power of 720 kilowatts, which can complete the rapid energy supply for "Green Boat 006" within 2 hours and ensure the efficiency of ship operation. At the same time, the charging facility is designed to support the simultaneous charging of two ships, which has the ability to provide large-scale and normalized energy services for the future electric ship fleet, and provides key infrastructure support for the construction of green shipping network.
