Hubei Environmental Protection Performance Rating Announced, Huaxin Leads Cement Enterprises

Recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hubei Province announced the List of Leading Enterprises with Performance Rating B (including B-) and above in Key Industries of Heavily Polluted Weather in Hubei Province in 2022. A total of 15 enterprises in the whole industry were rated B, including 4 in the cement industry, all from Huaxin, Xiangyang, Daye, Zigui and Yichang respectively. This is also the first batch of cement enterprises in Hubei Province to be rated B or above in environmental performance. Grading the performance of key industries in

heavily polluted weather is based on differentiated indicators such as pollution control technology, unorganized emissions, monitoring and control level and environmental management level of enterprises, and grading the level of air pollution prevention and control of enterprises in key industries is an effective starting point for actively and effectively responding to heavily polluted weather, implementing differentiated emission reduction measures and implementing scientific and precise management and control.

Huaxin adheres to the sustainable development route of "energy saving and pollution control, green and low carbon". In 2021, the company's cement business team independently implemented a number of pilot projects through research and comparison of pollution reduction technologies in the industry, developed a complete and mature flue gas treatment technology route based on its own technology, and formulated differentiated rectifica tion plans for different concentration gradient pollutants. A total of 15 production lines in Hubei region have completed the ultra-low emission transformation project, and all of them can reach the B-level emission level steadily.

The four units were awarded B-level performance enterprises, which is the epitome of the achievements of Huaxin's ultra-low emission technological transformation.
