symposium, Executive Chairman Xiao Jiaxiang analyzed the current situation of the cement industry, the main challenges and the main tasks of high-quality development. He hoped that the cement industry in Hubei would actively strive for government support, give full play to the leading role of large enterprises and the coordinating role of industry associations, and take the lead in promoting the high-quality development of the cement industry. He stressed that in recent years, the cement industry in Hubei has achieved remarkable results in controlling new production capacity, green and low-carbon development, and integrated development of industrial chain extension. Executive Chairman Xiao Jiaxiang hopes that under the background of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, the cement industry in Hubei Province will actively strive for the support of the local government's steady growth policy and implement the "Work Program for Steady Growth of Building Materials Industry in Hubei Province (2023-2024)", which proposes that "the level of environmental performance and energy efficiency should be taken as the yardstick, energy consumption should be controlled and carbon emissions should be controlled."
