Chongqing East Railway Station Project is located in Chayuan New District of Chongqing, with a total construction area of 1.2228 million square meters and a total scale of 3 stations, 15 sets and 29 lines. It is the largest new "four-network integration" comprehensive transportation hub in Chongqing and the largest first-class high-speed railway station under construction in China. The station is the intersection of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail, and will introduce five high-speed railways, including Chongqing-Hunan, Chongqing-Kunming, Chongqing-West, Chongqing-Zhengzhou and Chongqing-Guizhou, two ordinary speed railways, such as Chongqing-Huaihua and the East Ring Line of the Hub, and four urban rail transit lines, such as the East Extension Project of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6, Line 27, Line 8 and Line 24.
"Chongqing East Railway Station project has a large volume and a large number of participating units, which puts forward higher requirements for construction technology, management and coordination." Fang Liang, the project manager of the second tender section of Chongqing East Railway Station of China Railway Construction Engineering Group, introduced that the project team has continuously optimized the construction since entering the site on May 16, 2022, and worked out the construction scheme of "jumping warehouse method", which shortened the construction period of the rail bearing layer and the elevated layer by more than 60 days, and laid a solid foundation for the successful completion of the follow-up steel structure project.
It is understood that at present, the project is constantly optimizing the construction scheme of each project node, striving to achieve the goal of completion and opening to traffic by 2025. After the completion of Chongqing East Railway Station, it will further improve the construction of Chongqing's "metre-shaped" high-speed railway network, and promote the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing two-city economic circle and the new land-sea corridor in the west.
