After more than 10 hours of continuous operation, the bottom concrete pouring of No.7 main pier cap of Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge has been completed recently, marking the completion of the bottom concrete construction of the foundation pit of four main pier caps on both sides of the bridge.
Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge is the key control project of the Jiangling-Songzi section of the Wuhan-Songzi Expressway. It crosses the navigable waters with one main span, with a total length of 1860 meters. After completion, it will strengthen the connection between Wuhan City Circle and the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in Hubei Province, which is of great significance to build a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor along the Yangtze River. Yangtze River, the most important thing is to skillfully use the low water level of the river to race with the water level of the Yangtze River. The site manager of Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Group, the construction party of the main bridge on the South Bank, introduced that this construction was the first time in China to excavate a large pile cap foundation pit directly on the Yangtze River embankment, with a maximum excavation depth of 17 meters, an excavation of more than 40000 cubic meters, and an elevation difference of nearly 10 meters between the diagonal points of the foundation pit and the riverbed. The project department has carried out special design and elaborate construction of the foundation pit, using the combination cofferdam of "lock steel pipe pile + continuous drainage cast-in-place pile" and high-pressure jet grouting pile as waterproof curtain to ensure the safety, efficiency and controllability of the construction process. Since the start of the
project, Hubei Jingchu Construction Management Co., Ltd. has led the participating units to overcome the unfavorable construction factors such as the geological soft and hard interlayer of the main pier, the super-large diameter pile foundation of 3.2 meters, the super-long friction pile of 105 meters and the narrow working face. Key processes such as post-grouting of pile foundation, demolition of steel platform, construction of supporting piles, high-pressure jet grouting curtain and earthwork excavation of foundation pit have been completed successively. Hubei Jiaotong Jingchu Construction Management Co., Ltd., said that the Office of the Provincial Leading Group of Key Transportation Construction and the Engineering Affairs Center of the Provincial Transportation Department took the initiative to act as the "second-year shop" of the project construction, carried out in-depth on-site quality and safety supervision, guidance and inspection, and jointly built the "Safe Centennial Quality Project". It is expected that by the end of May, the Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge will complete the construction of all bearing platforms to ensure that all the foundations are out of water before the flood season, creating favorable conditions for the subsequent construction of the main tower.
