local time, Adani Group, an Indian company, recently announced its entry into the energy storage industry. Adani has revealed that it has launched its first battery energy storage system with a capacity of 1,126 MW/3,530 MWh . The project is located in the company's renewable energy park in Gujarat.

It is reported that the project requires the deployment of more than 700 battery energy storage system (BESS) containers, which will be the largest BESS installation in India. It is also one of the largest BESS deployments in a single location in the world. The project is scheduled to be put into operation in March 2026.
Adani Group has publicly revealed that the project uses lithium-ion battery technology combined with advanced energy management systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
According to the company's official website, Adani Group plans to have a total energy storage capacity of 15G Wh by March 2027 and an overall planned capacity of 50G Wh by 2030.
