According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics of Kyrgyzstan, from January to August 2024, the cement output of Kyrgyzstan was 2.058 million tons, an increase of 1% over the same period last year. A construction boom is under way in Kyrgyzstan. From January to September 2024, 7,867 apartments and houses were built in Kyrgyzstan, with a total area of 948,700 square kilometers, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year. During this period, fixed asset investment in housing construction was 52.9879 billion som, more than 1.5 times that of the same period last year.

Since May, Kyrgyzstan's cement production has increased for four consecutive months compared with the same period last year. From May to August, Kyrgyzstan's cement output was 357,800 tons, 334,800 tons, 333,600 tons and 375,000 tons, respectively, up 10.5%, 10.2%, 3.7% and 18.8% year-on-year.

of Kyrgyzstan construction boom in Kyrgyzstan has led to a shortage of cement. Kyrgyzstan is experiencing a nationwide construction boom, but the northern region is facing a shortage of cement, Central Asia News reported. At present, the output of northern factories is insufficient, and the cement imported from Kazakhstan can not meet the demand. Kyrgyzstan is speeding up the construction of cement and clinker production lines.
The Kyrgyz government said that 60% of the construction of the Tash- Kumyr Cement Plant with an annual output of 1 million tons in the Jalal-Abad region had been completed and that the plant was expected to be put into operation in 2025. Terek-Tash Cement, located in the Kemin region, is expected to be operational in August 2024, with a production capacity of more than 1 million tons per year and an investment of $160 million. Kant Cement's new production line has a clinker capacity of 2500 tons per day, which can reach 800000 tons per year by using advanced technology and automation.
