According to the data of Bolivia's National Bureau of Statistics (INE), before August 2024, Bolivia's cement production was 2.638 million tons, an increase of 4.4% over the same period last year, and its cement sales and consumption were 2.607 million tons, an increase of 2.7% over the same period last year, both of which reached a record high. Alfaro, manager of the Bolivian Cement and Concrete Association (IBCH), said the data showed that the Bolivian construction industry was gradually recovering.

INE's data also shows that in the first eight months of 2024, 2.638 million tons of cement were produced. The province of Santa Cruz produced 699062 tons of cement. Next came La Paz (679317 tons), Chuquisaca (510841 tons), Cochabamba (384329 tons), Oruro (214660 tons) and Tarija (150068 tons). Of the 2,607,000 tons of cement sold in January-August 2024, Santa Cruz sold 693931 tons. Then Chuquisaca (510711 tons), La Paz (466273 tons), Oruro (422973 tons), Cochabamba (355145 tons) and Tarija (150849 tons). Santa Cruz Province has been the main market of Bolivian cement for many years. It has a large population, and its production, sales and consumption are relatively high.
