The Peruvian cement market continued its strong growth momentum in March 2026. According to data released by the Peruvian Cement Association (ASOCEM), national cement shipments reached 1.117 million tons in the month, up 16.8% from the same period last year, showing strong demand in the construction sector. Among them, the member enterprises of the association contributed 1 million tons of supply and occupied the dominant position in the market.
The domestic production side showed a comprehensive expansion trend. In March, local cement production increased by 17.2% year-on-year to 1.027 million tons, a significant increase from 876000 tons in the same period last year. However, the growth rate of upstream clinker production was relatively moderate, with a monthly output of 779000 tons, up only 1.9% year-on-year, suggesting that there may be some capacity bottlenecks in the supply of raw materials or that enterprises intend to control inventory levels.
