On September 15, Longji Green Energy announced that on September 14, the company received a withdrawal decision from the Paris Court of France. For the Company's German subsidiary LONGi Solar Technologie GmbH, Hong Kong subsidiary LONGi (H. K.) TRADING LIMITED, Dutch subsidiary LONGi NETHERLANDS (TRADING) BV and German subsidiary Hanwha Q CELLS GmbH of Hanwha Solutions Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Hanwha") were confirmed to withdraw the infringement lawsuit in France. As of the announcement date, all patent proceedings between the Company and Hanwha worldwide have been concluded . In the announcement
, Longji traced back the course of the lawsuit, and since March 2019, some products sold by Longji Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Hanwha Solutions Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Hanhua") and its related subsidiaries have successively submitted to the United States International Trade Commission (ITC), the United States District Court of Delaware, the Federal Court of Australia, the Dusseldorf High District Court of Germany, the Paris Court of France, and the United States. The District Court of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, filed a patent infringement lawsuit.
In response to Hanhua's accusation, Longji Green Energy also announced on March 7, 2019 that the company's products were inconsistent with the technical methods used in the patents involved, and that there was no evidence that the company's products infringed any patent rights. At the same time, it actively responded to and paid close attention to the above developments, hired lawyers to actively respond to the lawsuit and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the company.
The lawsuit is more than four years old. On May 11
this year, Longji Green Energy and Hanwha Solutions Corporation (Hanhua) formally reached a patent cross-license. After patent cross-licensing, both parties have the right to legally use the relevant patented technology worldwide, and promise to cancel all lawsuits and patent invalidation procedures between the two parties (including related parties) worldwide.
