Ningde Times and Alfen signed an order for 5G Wh sodium-ion battery energy storage, marking a new stage of large-scale commercial use of sodium-ion technology.

Recently, Ningde Times signed a memorandum of understanding with Alfen N. V., Europe's leading new energy integrator. The two sides plan to deploy 5G Wh Tianheng sodium energy storage system in the Netherlands and other Western European countries from 2027.

Tianheng Sodium Electric Energy Storage System has an ultra-long life of 25 years, the overall RTE of the system is increased by nearly 2%, and the cost of the whole life cycle is lower. At the same time, it is compatible with lithium iron phosphate system, which can make Alfen more flexible in the selection of battery materials and reduce the impact of lithium price fluctuations.
