It is understood that it is Sinoma International that is building a 10000-ton cement plant project in Lemi Building Material Industrial Park, which is jointly invested by Western Holdings and East African Holdings. The project is located in Lemi Town, Amhara State, 130 kilometers away from Addis Ababa. It is a general contracting project designed, purchased and constructed by Sinoma International. It is also the first cement plant with the largest single-line design output in Africa. The project design adopts the world's advanced technology suitable for the cement production process in the plateau region, which is called the "Star of Africa". At present, the construction of the project has entered the peak period of installation, and it is expected to start production by the end of March 2024, when it will become the leading project of cement production in Ethiopia, driving the economic and manufacturing development of Ethiopia Industrial Park. After the plant is put into full operation, it will produce 4.5 million tons of cement annually, which can meet 50% of the country's cement demand.
