Recently, the three major photovoltaic sand control projects of Huadian, Huaneng and CGN in Inner Mongolia have been approved successively, with a total investment of over 8.3 billion yuan and an installed capacity of 3.5G W.
On September 28, CGN (Inner Mongolia) New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. CGN Alashan Photovoltaic Sand Control Project (East Site) Photovoltaic Power Station Project was approved for filing. The project unit is CGN (Alashan High-tech Industrial Development Zone) New Energy Co., Ltd.
The project is located in Bayin Obo Gacha, Wustai Town, High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia. The project is a photovoltaic sand control project, with a total investment of 233.29143 million yuan , a planned construction capacity of 1GW, and a supporting construction plan of 220kV booster station, which will be completed at one time in this phase. The electric energy generated by the
photovoltaic module is connected to the newly-built 220kV booster station through 40 circuits of 35kV collector lines after being inverted and boosted, and is boosted by the main transformer. 220kV outgoing line is connected to the opposite Arishan 500kV booster station (subject to the final approval of the access system). Photovoltaic sand prevention and control covers an area of 40000 mu, consisting of wind and sand prevention zones and sand fixation buffer zones, mainly grass grid sand control. The construction period of the
project is from September 2026 to December 2027.
On September 29, Inner Mongolia Huadian Luanjingtan Green Energy Co., Ltd. Inner Mongolia Huadian Luanjingtan 1.5 million kilowatt photovoltaic sand control project photovoltaic power station project was approved for filing.
The project is located in Tengger Elis Town, Alashan Twin Well Beach Ecological Migration Demonstration Area, Alashan League, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 377664 94000 yuan . It is planned to build a new photovoltaic project with a total installed capacity of 1.5G W , an ecological control area of 60000 mu (including photovoltaic project land), and new facilities such as 220 KV booster station, collector line and access road. The construction period of the
project is from December 2026 to December 2027.
On September 30, Huaneng Beilian Alashan High-tech Zone 1G W Photovoltaic Sand Control Project Photovoltaic Power Station Project of Alashan Beilian Ustai New Energy Co., Ltd. was approved for filing.
The project is located in Alashan High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Wustai Town), Alashan Economic Development Zone, Alashan League, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 2223 million yuan . It is planned to build a 1000MW photovoltaic sand control project and a supporting 220kV booster station. The electric energy generated by the photovoltaic module is connected to the newly-built 220kV booster station through 40 circuits of 35kV collector lines after being inverted and boosted. After being boosted by the main transformer, the 220kV outgoing line is connected to the opposite Arishan 500kV booster station. The area of photovoltaic sand control is 40000 mu. It is composed of wind-proof and sand-blocking belt and sand-fixing buffer belt, and is mainly composed of grass grid for sand control. The construction period of the
project is from December 2026 to September 2027.
It is noteworthy that the three major projects have been included in the implementation list of the Alxa League Photovoltaic Sand Control Experimental Project published by the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on September 28.
