2025, Kyrgyzstan held the launching ceremony of the new production line of Kant Cement Plant. The production line construction project started in the spring of 2024, and now it has been put into operation formally, and it is a new platform for more environmental protection and energy saving to carry out production activities.
This project covers the construction of a dry cement clinker calcination line with a daily capacity of 2500 tons. The relevant equipment will be supplied and installed by Sinoma. The total value of the project is about 439 million yuan, of which the European Development Bank has provided about 50 million US dollars in financial support. All construction work was not only completed ahead of schedule, but also strictly controlled within the established budget. The opening of the
new production line will greatly improve the production efficiency of the plant and reduce costs, especially compared with the old technology used before, coal consumption will be greatly reduced, which directly reduces pollutant emissions and makes the production process more environmentally friendly and sustainable. In addition, the upgrade will help to reduce production costs and enhance the market competitiveness of the plant in the region it serves (the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the northern region). The project promotes regional cooperation by strengthening trade and investment links within the Central Asian region.
Canter Cement Plant was established in 1964 and currently produces four types of cement products that meet international standards. The total number of employees in the company is about 800. Its products are widely used in key infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, from the cascade development project of Naryn Hydropower Station to the construction of dams and airports throughout the country.
