In order to further standardize the river management procedures and continuously deepen the special regulation of illegal sand mining in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, in accordance with the requirements of the Notice of the Office of River Length System of Shaanxi Province on Strictly Cracking Down on Illegal Sand Mining of "Ant Moving" Type in the whole province, the Yangxian Water Conservancy Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade has recently been deployed under the unified arrangement of the Party Group of the Bureau. To carry out special rectification and precise crackdown on the illegal activities of "ant moving" type of stealing sand and gravel in Pingchuan of Hanjiang River.
This special action focused on investigating and dealing with the front and back of villagers'houses along the river and the sand piling points of village collective idle land. Law enforcement officers in the process of groping found that 3 groups and 5 groups of collective idle land in Yangwan Village of Moziqiao found 2 piles of more than 50 square meters. After investigation, all of them were stolen by villagers driving three wheels from the river. Law enforcement officers confiscated all of them according to the procedure, seized the stolen tricycles according to the law, and investigated two illegal miners. The discovered road down the river was resolutely excavated and disconnected, and the previously excavated road down the river was re-excavated and strengthened to cut off the illegal mining channel.
By carrying out this round of centralized rectification action, it has played a strong deterrent role in the illegal phenomenon of "ant moving" type of river sand stealing in the county, and has effectively curbed the illegal phenomenon of local villagers stealing, hoarding and reselling river sand. In the next step, the County Water Conservancy Bureau will continue to strengthen law enforcement efforts to comprehensively crack down on the illegal activities of "ant moving" type of stealing sand and gravel, strengthen close cooperation with towns, villages and relevant departments, share information, and form joint efforts. We should adhere to the combination of cracking down on illegal sand mining and routine inspection, investigate and deal with the clues of illegal sand mining strictly and quickly according to regulations, strengthen the publicity and education of laws and regulations, enhance the sense of responsibility of cadres and masses to protect the ecological environment of rivers, promote the integration of ecological protection of rivers and lakes with production and life, and strive to build a beautiful, green, low-carbon, livable and tourist ecological environment.
