Departments at all levels should be urged to fully implement the main responsibility of flood control and disaster relief, optimize the defense mechanism, strictly supervise and inspect, and implement all flood control requirements with a sense of responsibility of "always, everything and everywhere". We should continue to maintain a high-pressure situation to promote the special regulation of illegal sand mining, strictly and quickly investigate and punish, strengthen the rigid constraints of river sand mining planning, and adopt more scientific and technological means to strengthen the supervision of sand mining sites, so as to ensure the safety of river flood discharge in flood season. At the meeting, Zheng Weiguo, Director of the
Provincial Water Resources Department, gave a briefing on the characteristics and trends of this year's flood and drought situation, and put forward suggestions on the prevention of flood and drought disasters in the main flood season and the regulation of river sand mining, demanding that the provincial water resources system conscientiously implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on flood control and disaster relief work, and in accordance with the requirements of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial government. Fully understand the severe situation faced by flood and drought disaster prevention this year, based on flood prevention and drought resistance, strengthen monitoring, forecasting and early warning, keep a close eye on river flood prevention, highlight mountain flood disaster prevention, and do a good job in river embankment, reservoir and warping dam prevention. Detailed implementation of drought response measures, do a good job in summer drought supply.
