On May 29, after 50 hours of continuous operation, the left bearing platform of No.6 main pier on Jiangling side of Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge, invested by Hubei Trading and Investment Group and constructed by China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, was completed. So far, the construction of the main pier cap on both sides of the main bridge has been completed, and the construction stage of the main tower body has been entered, which greatly reduces the safety risk of construction in flood season.
Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge is the key maneuverability project of Jiangling-Songzi Section of Wusong Expressway. It is the world's largest span hybrid steel-UHPC composite girder cable-stayed bridge with double towers and double cable planes. It is also the world's first hybrid highway cable-stayed bridge exceeding kilometers. The Jiangling side needs to pour 4775 cubic meters of concrete at one time, which is technically difficult. In order to solve the problem of hydration heat of mass concrete, the project department of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau adopted an intelligent temperature control system to control the temperature of concrete before entering the mould. At the same time, five layers of cooling circulating water pipes were laid in the bearing platform to strictly control the temperature of concrete. After testing, there is no crack after pouring.
As the province with the longest main stream of the Yangtze River, Hubei has accelerated the "hard connection" of the three metropolitan areas, and the construction of river-crossing channels is the most important. Since this year, four world-class Yangtze River bridges under construction have raced against the water level of the Yangtze River, ushering in a number of major nodes. On May 13, the construction of the main pier cap on the north bank of Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan was completed. On May 11, the main pier bearing platform on the north bank of Bailizhou Yangtze River Bridge in Zhijiang was completed, while the main tower of Yanji Yangtze River Bridge was "rising step by step". With the completion of the final underground construction node of the Guanyinsi Yangtze River Bridge, all four Yangtze River bridges in Hubei have "emerged" from the ground and entered the construction of the main tower, which also marks a new stage in the construction of the bridge.
