December 29, Aikang Science and Technology announced that Zhejiang Aikang, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, and the Management Committee of Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone signed the Framework Agreement on HJT Perovskite Laminated Battery R & D and Production Ba se Project on December 29, 2023. Zhejiang Aikang plans to invest in the construction of HJT perovskite tandem battery research and production base project in Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone in the future , with a total investment of about 1 billion yuan .
The announcement shows that the project will be divided into three phases of investment and construction. The first phase of the laboratory project is planned to invest about 150 million yuan and lease about 3000 square meters of space to build a research and development laboratory base for HJT perovskite tandem battery production to meet the research and development needs of HJT perovskite tandem battery production in Aikang Science and Technology; The planned investment for the pilot line of Phase II is about 250 million yuan; the planned investment for the first mass production line of Phase III is about 600 million yuan.
In recent years, Aikang Science and Technology has focused on efficient manufacturing, forming a business model with new energy efficient manufacturing and intelligent energy services as its two core industries.
Among them, with the production of high-efficiency heterojunction cells and modules as the core business, through the layout of several high-efficiency bases in Suzhou, Huzhou, Ganzhou, Zhoushan and Wuxi, it is planned to achieve the production capacity of more than 40 GW high-efficiency solar cells and modules within five years, and strive to become a leading enterprise in the field of high-efficiency heterojunction.
As of December 15, 2023, Aikang Technology has achieved 3.2G W HJT battery capacity, 0.8G W PERC battery capacity and 10.4G W component capacity.
In the direction of perovskite-heterojunction tandem battery technology, Aikang Science and Technology has already laid out, and the company said on the interactive platform of investors at the end of August that the company has set up a professional and mature R & D team on the research, preparation and application of perovskite heterojunction tandem technology. At present, the construction of the pilot line is progressing steadily as planned, with the initial goal of breaking through 30% of the average conversion efficiency of the battery.
