The content shows that Karamay plans to build a multilayer composite solar cell production plant with an annual output of 350 MW and other auxiliary facilities, with an estimated total investment of 2.2 billion yuan , located in the northern part of Wuerhe Industrial Park. It is planned to cover an area of 100 mu. The cooperation mode of the
project is cooperation, joint venture and sole proprietorship.
For the advantages of the project, Wuerhe area is rich in solar energy resources, photovoltaic , photothermal and other industries are developing rapidly, but the matching equipment manufacturing industry has always been a blank area, and all the equipment needed by photothermal enterprises are transported from the hinterland, which not only increases the large amount of freight, but also increases the cost. But also prolong that construction period of the project. This project will greatly reduce the cost of photothermal enterprises after putting into operation.
Karamay Bureau of Commerce said that with the in-depth implementation of Xinjiang's "Ten Industrial Clusters" strategy, multi-layer composite solar cells are expected to become the second growth pole after silicon-based photovoltaic, and the market size is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan in 2030. It accounts for more than 25% of the photovoltaic module market in Xinjiang.
