On March 17, Zhengli Xinneng 50GWh new generation of large-capacity long-term energy storage intelligent manufacturing project was signed and settled in Changshu High-tech Zone, Suzhou.

The contracted project of intelligent flexible manufacturing base for long-term energy storage lithium-ion batteries with an annual output of 50 GWh, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, mainly produces a new generation of large-capacity long-term energy storage products, integrates the strategic concept of "AI + manufacturing" of Zhengli Xinneng, and aims to build an intelligent manufacturing base for long-term energy storage lithium-ion batteries with an annual output of 50 GWh. Through the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology and manufacturing industry, while ensuring product quality, a new battery manufacturing system is constructed through flexible production lines.
The base project will mainly produce 588Ah large-capacity batteries for long-term energy storage, which can meet the demand for energy storage time of 2 ~ 8 H, and is compatible with a new generation of long-term energy storage batteries with larger capacity, and the energy storage time can reach 4 ~ 12 H. The products meet the current market demand for long-term energy storage, computing power center, decentralized power supply mode and other energy storage application scenarios, while taking into account new energy vehicles, electric manned aircraft, humanoid robots, electric ships and other fields.
According to reports, long-term energy storage is the core incremental direction of the development of energy storage industry, with the power system's demand for energy storage from the previous "fast power response" to the "continuous energy supply" under the background of new energy subject, especially the explosive growth of artificial intelligence data center (AIDC), making it more than 4 hours. Especially the long-term energy storage with continuous power supply capacity of 8 hours or more has become the just need to ensure the stability, green and low cost of computing power, and also the inevitable trend of high-quality development of the industry.
