At the same time, the TB hydropower dam ushered in a highlight moment. A delegation of more than 80 experts in the field of RCC appreciated and observed the highest RCC dam under construction in China (158 meters), unmanned rolling, the longest core in the world, the fastest pouring speed and standardized construction. The experts were amazed and praised.
Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 is one of the first units to carry out RCC dam construction technology research in China. In 1988, RCC was applied to the main project of the 1 # gravity pier of the arch dam of Dongjiang Hydropower Station in Hunan Province. Since then, Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 has never stopped RCC construction.
After more than 30 years, the Eighth Hydropower Engineering Bureau has completed 46 RCC dams such as Dachaoshan, Longtan, Pengshui, Longkaikou and Dahuaqiao, and the volume of RCC pouring is about 30 million m3. The RCC project undertaken: won 5 Luban Prizes, 4 National Excellent Gold Prizes, 3 International Milestone Prizes, 25 Provincial and Ministerial Prizes, and created many firsts in this field, promoted the development of RCC dam construction technology from low dam to 200-meter dam in China, and is the pioneer of RCC dam construction.
