Yesterday, the pouring of the inverted arch of the first plate of Shantou Bay Tunnel, the control project of the Shugang Railway in Guangzhou-Macao Port Area, was completed, which is another key construction node of the project after the successful entry of the tunnel exit on February 13.

The inverted arch is one of the main components of the tunnel structure. It is a reverse arch structure set at the bottom of the tunnel to improve the stress conditions of the upper support structure. A 24-meter-long self-propelled hydraulic inverted arch trestle is used for the construction of the inverted arch of the first slab. The trestle is 43.6 meters long, 6.1 meters wide and 1.3 meters high. Protective railings are set on both sides of the outer side. According to Sheng Shengsheng, the person in charge of the project, combined with the length of the trestle, after on-site investigation, the construction range of each inverted arch is 24 meters, of which 12 meters are the steel bar construction area and 12 meters are the concrete pouring area, so as to ensure the safety of walking and the quality of concrete pouring to the greatest extent.

In order to complete the task of pouring nodes of the first slab inverted arch with quality and quantity, in the early stage of construction, the leading group of the project of the 14th Bureau of China Railway, the construction unit, went deep into the front line, organized tunnel technicians to hold a technical disclosure meeting on the safety of inverted arch construction, and made overall arrangements for the excavation of inverted arch, the clearance of slag, the binding of steel bars, the construction survey and the review. Standardized management and control, standardized operation, high-quality construction and rapid progress are implemented.

After seven days of fine construction, on February 19, the inverted arch of the first slab of the tunnel passed the acceptance test smoothly, and the pouring began at 8 P. M. that day. After 20 hours of construction, the pouring was completed on the 20th, five days ahead of the original plan. The successful pouring of the inverted arch of the first plate provides a working face for the subsequent lining construction, which makes the tunnel lining closed into a ring and ensures the safety and quality of the tunnel construction.
It is understood that there are two super-large bridges along the Shugang Railway in Guangzhou-Macao Port Area, namely, the super-large bridge across Leiguang Avenue and the super-large bridge across Shugang Avenue, with a total length of about 3.7 kilometers, both of which are single-track bridges. Up to now, 40 of the 125 bearing platforms and 26 of the piers and abutments have been completed, and the construction of the project has been steadily and safely promoted.
