on April 19 to 14:15 on April 21, during the core filling operation in the north anchorage area of Yanji Yangtze River Bridge, the Fifth Company of China Railway Bridge Bureau continuously poured 14414 cubic meters of concrete at one time, creating a new record of concrete pouring at one time in the construction of the bridge in Hubei Province. There are 8 rounds of core filling construction in
the north anchorage area, and this is the fifth round of pouring. Before the operation, the Fifth Company of China Railway Bridge Bureau used its own concrete mixing station and rented a large mixing station to set up five concrete production lines, so that the concrete production capacity reached 380 cubic meters per hour. During the operation, four teams used six day pumps to pour concrete into the foundation pit of the anchorage area day and night. After 57 hours of shift work by more than 200 workers, 14414 cubic meters of concrete were poured continuously at one time, which is equivalent to filling six standard swimming pools at one time.
Yanji Yangtze River Bridge is designed as a double-deck suspension bridge with four main cables. The anchorage area is the cornerstone of the bridge with four main cables anchored at one end and pulled up at the other end. It consists of 420,000 cubic meters of concrete poured into two semicircles, which bite into each other to form a "8" shape, with a total weight of more than 1.1 million tons. After the completion of this operation, the progress of core filling operation in the north anchorage area of Yanji Yangtze River Bridge has exceeded 60%, four months ahead of the original plan; it is expected that all core filling operations will be completed in mid-May.
